Student Senate: Resources Task Force
Senator (2022 - Present)
Task Force Leader (2024-2025)
As part of the Dell Medical School Student Senate, Natalie has overseen initiatives to improve student well-being and increase support for students both academically and professionally; she has also advocated for student perspectives and concerns with administrative staff on a wide range of topics, including exam preparation, improving clinical experience opportunities, and student absence and leave policies.
As part of the Resources Task Force in particular, Natalie focused on organizing bimonthly events to facilitate understanding of the medical school experience. The task force focused on subjects such as “Transitioning Into Clerkships”, “How to Step 1 and 2”, “Away Rotations: Applying and Succeeding”, and “‘Failure’ in Medical School”. Natalie specifically pioneered the MS2 Clerkships document, which helps MS2s transition into the clinical space by providing clerkship-specific knowledge through frequently asked questions, study resources, and clinic-specific information and workflow.
Over the past four years, Natalie has helped create roughly 10 documents and handouts that are updated each year and has led around 8 presentations.
